@Chris: Holy crap. And I thought the constant ringing in my ear over the weekend was my tinnitus... Strangely enough, it is all true.
Free Your Mind
I’ve always wanted to write that.
But it does. So stop it. In your head, in the gym, in your life.
It sucks the very life out of life.
The next time you want to say some bull**** to yourself or to someone else, do yourself a favor and just be quiet instead. Or figure out a way to rephrase. Think about what you’re doing. Think about why you feel the need to speak in a negative way. Is it truthful? Helpful? Needed? Or is it just your ego talking?
There’s a Buddhist way called “Right Speech” that basically urges you to really think about the impact of your words. And not that Buddha would CrossFit, but you know what I’m saying here. Get your head straight and you’ll see gains in the gym. You know: “Free your mind and the rest will follow.”
Think about the talk you talk in your own head, at the gym, to others, even on Facebook or e-mail. Is it positive? Or is it negative? And is it ultimately helping your life? And others?
Change one thing and you’re on the way to changing your world.
@David: Perhaps. But P90X might have caught his eye too. Big shout out to those who have donated to Fight Gone Bad 5! Thank you!
My back injury has been a blessing. I have time to think about a lot of positive things now. It is unfortunate that I can't take action on any of the things that I think about because of the shooting pain, but I do consider myself blessed. My glass is definitely half full today and totally full if you count the sunshine... Have a smurfy day everyone! @Lis, Buddha would have totally crossfitted.
Actually, I heard that Nate's mind control powers only work with 4-figure numbers or higher. What a shame...
Looks like as of right this second, we're the 107th affiliate in terms of total donations. Let's break the top 100, people!
Hey everyone! It's not too late to sign up for a Fight Gone Bad account at fgb5.org. Let's keep raising money right up until the event! Go! Go! Go!
K, your first post is still making me laugh after reading it this morning. I don’t know if it is the military that brain washed me of negativity or just my sick nature but I actually enjoy watching negative people. It actually makes me laugh when people are negative for no reason what so ever. K, you need to come workout at noon more often so we can start talking smack to each other. I’m a true member of the Haters club.
I think it's best to talk smack. It makes for strong interpersonal relationships. It is also important to be a negative smack talker on FB as much as possible...
Perhaps being a "Negative Nancy" productive!! It makes people work harder, long when you put them down, right?
