CrossFit Math

Effort ≠ Accomplishment

Accomplishment = Skill + Diligence

Skill = Effort x Effort x Effort x ∞

Diligence = Effort x Effort x Effort x ∞

Accomplishment = Effort x ∞

*∞ = infinity.

(Translation: Work hard. Cultivate discipline. Try again and again and again. Train when no one else will train. Do work. Accomplish.)

"It is pure optimism sprinkled with tenacity and we need that in our work and our lives." Nice find, David! Hyperbole, yes. But life at its most fun is hyperbole, perhaps? And did you have to say the bad word? (D-U. Ugh. Must practice!)

And when you think there's nothing left in the tank...I stumbled across this, http://www.avc.com/a_vc/2010/08/the.html. I would have tweeted or posted to facebook, but I am unable to connect to social media while at work. Luckily, I can still troll blogs. I do think though, that inifinity borders on hyperbole if you believe Malcolm Gladwells 10,000 hour conjecture. At 10 - 15 minutes a day, I will be a double under virtuoso in approximately 110 years.
