Alive
Our lives are so full, we complain about ... nothing.
Burpees, overhead squats, running, the price of workout gear. The cost of fresh vegetables and grass-fed beef. These are our "problems."
Compare that list to what some people have to deal with: white blood cell counts, radiation, throwing up from chemo, going bald because that treatment which might save you will first attack you.
Many of us have no burden that heavy to bear.
We are lucky, and we so often forget that.
The night before she died, my sister told me excitedly, twice, about the wonderful meal she had just had. "I'm just trying to stay alive," she said. I would never hear her voice again.
You are alive. Do something with this day.
Don't complain it away. Live it.
