No, You're Not Wrong

Whoever you are right now is not wrong.

Maybe you're not who exactly you want to be, in this moment or this life. Maybe it's not perfect—this suit of you right now, this iteration, this particular version—but it's not wrong.

Maybe it can be improved. Maybe the fit can be tailored. Maybe you'll decide to scrap some parts of it and highlight other parts.

But those are adjustments, not judgments. Whoever you are right now in this moment is not wrong.

And you get to be you today, and maybe a different you tomorrow, or next week, or next year.

Your life isn't one pair of pants that you have to wear forever. You can change those pants. Pick a new pair. Throw out the old pair ... or keep them.

You get to decide. You.

Not your mom or your dad or your husband or your wife or your kids or some stranger in a grocery store or some nosy neighbor who can't keep their fucking mouth shut.

You. And if you want to start again, do that. Life is a series of reinventions.

But you, right now? You're not wrong. You're just human like the rest of us.
