Answers

I don't have all the answers. I wish I did.

You could just come here and I could lay it all out, exactly what you should do and how you should do it:

• Follow this path and become a CrossFit Games athlete.

• Follow that path and become fabulously successful in your job.

• Over there? The path to love and happiness, right next to riches and inner peace.

Getting all of those paths to cross is the tricky part, though.

But I don't have all the answers and you shouldn't trust me. Really.

Trust yourself. And definitely don't trust anyone who tells you they have all the answers. They don't. No one does.

Do, however, give your faith and allegiance to people with an open mind and a good heart. That's about as good as it gets.

Who not to trust is the trickier part. I tend to be wary of:

• Gossips

• Liars

• People who are nice sober and mean drunk

• Anybody who is rude to the server

You tell me so much by how you treat the server (and we are all servers, in some way). Treat the server poorly and you're likely to treat me poorly, so I'm making a snap decision at the table about you and I'm okay with that.

And, mostly, I remember this line: "Don't waste your time on people who won't waste their time on you."

Sounds simple, but it makes sense.
