Should You Fight Change? Or Embrace It?
You have a decision point smack dab in front of you, and I don't have the answers for you.
I can't tell you what to do or not do. No crystal ball. No swami insight.
You have to look at your life, assess it, and decide whether to fight the change in front of you or embrace it.
Maybe you should fight it. Maybe your world (and the world of everyone you care about) improves if you fight this change. Maybe you need to stick your boot heels in and become immovable.
Or maybe not.
Maybe this problem in front of you sits here in this form today, and if you shoo it away, if you defer, if you deflect, if you rebuff this change, maybe it appears in a different form next month or next year.
Maybe it is true that the universe whispers to you, then the universe shouts, and then the universe thunders.
Maybe you're still refusing to listen. Maybe you will need the thunder.
I don't know any of that for sure, but I do know this: if you look to what brings you long-term peace – not necessarily in this moment or this week or even in this year, but a peace that stays and settles on you like the night blanketing the soft hills rising behind your back porch while the wind whispers in the kindest of ways and a calmness fills your soul – if you find the answer that leads to that kind of peace, maybe that is your best path.
And it might not be what you expect.
That's okay.
Be frightened and step forward. Take one step. Then take another. Swallow hard and head down that path, shaky hands and all.
